2018 Pages Series

2018 was a great year of change for me. My partner, Daniel and I moved in together and extended our cat family. We underwent renovations in our home at the time that caused my painting practice to shrink considerably. It was a foreign obstacle of having to transition from using my oil paints to using only acrylic inks and pastels. The change was daunting; however, it did not hinder my flexibility. Therefore, I decided to welcome the change and take advantage of my dry mediums as if they were my paints. Pages began due to my consistent sketchbook work and environmental changes. In my time of vulnerability, I was visually documenting my experience and began to notice that I was creating outer worldly landscapes as peaceful havens.
